چکیده

Introduction: Conventional phacoemulsification and intraocular lens (IOL) implantation for patients who already have a phakic IOL (PIOL) in situ can present challenges power calculation the surgical procedure. Here we report case of with without removing anterior toric PIOL. Patient Clinical Findings: This 45-year-old male was referred to our clinic mature cataract right eye, history multiple corneal procedures including radial keratotomy, LASIK, cross-linking, Artiflex PIOL implantation. Uncorrected (UDVA) corrected (CDVA) distance visual acuity were 20/2000. Diagnosis, Intervention, Outcomes: Since CDVA 20/25 after prior development cataract, cornea compromised, not removed. Using femtosecond laser assisted surgery (FLACS) through PIOL, capsulotomy fragmentation completed modifying device setting, an inserted bag. At one year surgery, eye UDVA, CDVA, refraction 20/32, 20/25, +1.25/-1.00*120ᵒ. Conclusion: In this case, FLACS successful technique preserving results stable during postoperative follow up.

Femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery in a patient with posterior chamber phakic intraocular lens

We describe a case of modified femtosecond laser settings for cataract extraction in a patient with a posterior chamber phakic intraocular lens (PIOL), to avoid incomplete treatment patterns and treatment displacement. Modification of laser settings (increased depth for the capsulotomy, increased vertical spot spacing for the capsulotomy and increased anterior and posterior capsule safety margi...

Femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery in vitrectomized eye with posterior chamber phakic intraocular lens.

We describe a case of femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery (FLACS) in an eye with multiple comorbidities, including retinal detachment surgery, high myopia, posterior chamber phakic intraocular lens (PC pIOL) and residual, emulsified, silicone oil located in the anterior chamber. FLACS was affected by the optical blockage, but the incomplete capsular tear was recoverable. The case sugges...

Femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery in patients with phakic intraocular lenses and low endothelial cell counts: a case report

BACKGROUND Phakic intraocular lens (PIOL) implantation has been used to correct myopia and myopic astigmatism, although corneal decompensation can occur after implantation. Femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery (FLACS) has gained in popularity due to its lower postoperative astigmatism and endothelial loss. Herein, we report the use of FLACS in patients who previously received PIOL implan...
